This stroller blanket is knit in five contiguous strips composed of mitered squares with a garter stich border knit in the round and an applied i-cord. The size can be adjusted by adding or subtracting squares and/or adjusting the border width. When knit in a down type wool, this blanket is lofty and warm.
Yarn: 3 or 4 skeins Clun Forest Light or another sport weight yarn; 3 skeins for a single color or 2 of main color and 2 of contrast color if using multiple colors, or a larger blanket is desired.
Size: approximately 25"x25", easily adjusted.
Skills: garter stitch, decreases, picking up stitches, knitting in the round, applied i-cord, grafting.
Level of difficulty: Intermediate
Needles: size US 7 / 4.5mm one set straight needles and one or two circular needles to total 60" in length to accommodate large number of stitches.
